PTPRC: HUNTERS’ CHASES – ARE YOU AWARE OF THE GENEROUS ROA JACKPOT SCHEME?

09 February 2015, originally posted on http://www.pointtopoint.uk

For those owners not yet aware, the fixture at Taunton on 26th February is the second of twelve meetings spread through the 2015 calendar when the Racehorse Owners Association are offering a very generous jackpot to owners of each winning horse, should they be members of the association.
On that day at Taunton is to be staged the Richard Williams Memorial Hunters’ Steeple Chase for which the winning owners will be eligible, be they ROA members. Further details are covered in much greater detail by looking at the link below:

Last year, in February on the day the scheme operated at Leicester, all six winners drew from the pool and were well-rewarded for being members of the ROA, including the connections of Shy John, winner of the Dick Saunders Novices’ Hunters’ Steeple Chase, one being Peter Mason, who also prepared and rode the horse. Owners were advised of the Jackpot after entries closed, and the owners in this partnership wisely became members of the ROA only that very morning.
There are two further ROA Jackpot fixtures when hunters’ chases are scheduled in the next few months. They are on the 19th March at Ludlow when the 2C’s Antiques Fair Open Hunters’ Steeple Chase is due to be run and on the 13th May at Perth when we have the Bruce Farms Open Hunters’ Steeple Chase.

Please note the entries for the Taunton race close on Friday 20th February.
