Former Devon and Cornwall area point to pointer Desert Queen hacked up under rules again today, Saturday,  winning the National Hunt novices hurdle at Fontwell under Nick Scholfield.

In training with Harry Fry, the seven year old Desert Queen made all to beat nearest challenger Bryony Frost on Red Penny and was recording her third win of the season. A half sister to Hameldown Tor, the mare, owned by the Jago Family Partnership, last won at Sandown on March 15. She was bred by Henry Cole and related to their Gold Cup second Dubacilla.
