14th December

Linda Matthews Many thanks to everyone who helped at Wadebridge yesterday. What a star team! Thanks to all our generous sponsors, and thanks to all the jockeys, owners and trainers for supporting us again. It was a great day with top class horses and excellent racing, and we even had sunshine, a rare sight.

12th December

Linda Matthews reports the going at Wadebridge today (Saturday) is good, good to soft and soft in places. There has been a drying wind and no rain, and the weather forecast is looking good for tomorrow.

11th December

Well that's one fence finished at Wadebridge, only another 7 to go ! ??...... Nah only joking ! All looking lovely. And the ground is ....... Absolutely spiffing!! ( soft & good to soft )

The going today (Friday) is good to soft, soft in places. The weather forecast for Sunday afternoon is dry, sunny spells, 12 degrees with only light winds.

10th December 13:00

Phil Kennen has just reported that the going today is as follows:- Good on the higher ground, good to soft elsewhere apart from down the hill and the top bend which are soft. Only light rain today and Sunday looks good.

6th December 2015 – 21:50

Linda Matthews has just provided the following going update: “The Clerk of the Course has just informed me that the going at Wadebridge is good to soft today.” Entries close tomorrow, Monday 7th December, at 12:30pm

6th December 2015 – 11:00

Linda Matthews reports that Some owners have called her to say that they haven’t received their planners yet. The races are as last year but the prize money has been increased in the Ladies and Men’s Open Races to £225, £100, £50, and in the Subaru Restricted Race to £300, £200, £100. Entries close at 12.30pm tomorrow. Give Linda Matthews a call if you need any more information on how to enter.

3rd December 2015

Update from Philip Kennen -the Wadebridge course is looking great with really good grass cover. Fences 7, 8 &1 have new birch, the running rail goes up tomorrow with luck. Going would be good on the rises & soft round the top bend & down the hill to Fence 8.

For those who don’t know Wadebridge, we have old turf that has not been ploughed for decades! We will be putting 120 tonnes of sand on the run through on top of the 240 tonnes we put down last year.

HC deadline registration Friday 4th December (Tomorrow!) 12:00

Entries close: Monday 7th December, 12:30pm

Note: The Devon & Cornwall area secretaries prefer to receive entries through the entries secretary where they can provide a personalised service. So get those entries in early and if entering by post please do ring and confirm the entry has been received.
