Pony Racing 11am/Main Meeting from 12 noon
2nd Bulletin posted by email on Talking Point/D&C Area Website at 9:00pm, Monday 8th February, 2016
Today I received an update from the course as follows:
“This afternoon, the Clerk of the Course reported that the Going was now Heavy, Soft in Places and Local BHA Inspector Clare Wonnacott would now be walking the course on Wednesday of this week. He reiterated it is totally prepared for racing with the jumps all finished and in place and there is a really good covering of grass.” Further regular posts will follow up to and including race day – check out Weatherbys/Talking Point or the Area website pointingdc.co.uk
We have six races scheduled, an excellent viewing course and offer all the usual amenities- licensed bar (real ale), great food sourced locally (home-made soup, cakes & beverages), various trade stalls and displays and the bookies.
With easy access off the A38 at Lower Dean (TQ11 0LT), we have ample hard standing for lorries to park and the general public enter via the top Car Park entrance, drive downhill to park and after racing continue downhill to exit via a hard track through the bottom Gate.”
The entry charge is £10 per person (to £30 max. per car) Under 16’s free and race cards are again £2.50 each.
