Two well supported pony races kick off the Mid Devon point to point on Sunday at Black Forest Lodge, with the first race off at 12 noon.

The course offers the chance to ride a proper race with the 148s completing a circuit and a quarter of the track.

The Braces won at the course last year and return in the 148s with Don’t Tell Dai, ridden by Connor Brace. Fergus Gillard will be challenging on Hawkesfield Flyer, as will Calypso ridden by Ben Godfrey. Tyler Heard who won last week on Shotgun Minnie has been confirmed as a non runner.

Tamby Welch teams up with Buddy’s Girl, Alicia Kempainen partners Peaches and Cream, and up and coming rider Taylor Fisher rides Mario.

Nine ponies line up for the 138cm race which is off first and all will be bidding to beat Tyler Heard on The Job’s Not Straight.
