WESTERN POINT TO POINT – EXTRA MEASURES TO MEET REQUIREMENTS OF ANIMAL HEALTH

WESTERN HUNT POINT TO POINT

EXTRA MEASURES TO MEET REQUIREMENTS OF ANIMAL HEALTH

SATURDAY 16TH FEBRUARY 2019 12 NOON START

CHECKS WILL COMMENCE FROM 10AM. If you should arrive before this please wait near the entrance do not continue down onto the course parking area.
Refunds will be offered to those who can send evidence that the vaccinations were outside the specified timeframe as laid down (ie 6 months). Alternatively you could use your passes to have a day at the races and help us at least cover our running costs.

Passes will be at the gate for collection.

We will be stopping all horse transport after they come inside the gate on the tarmac track first on the right. Here we have 2 persons who will check both the passports and the self-declaration form.
Please do not forget your passports. Entry will have to be denied.

Do not bring any horses/ponies/companions who do not meet the regulations as currently set or your entry will have to be denied.

Once this is confirmed in order the horse transport will then be allowed to drive into the rest of the showground and to the designated parking area.

We are fortunate to have ample hard standing so vehicles are asked to park at least 2 vehicle widths apart and park on the tarmac road to unload horses onto the grass.

There is an additional paddock to the rear of the big shed. There will be additional washing facilities there. This will ensure that all contact between horses at the point to point is kept to a minimum.

The outriders are on horses who have the same checks completed and meet the 6 month rule for vaccinations as set out for point to point horses. No other horses will be allowed on the showground on Saturday 16th January.
There are 3 vets in attendance.

Val Mason, Hon. Sec.
