Local Veterinary Surgeon and owner, Jennifer Davenport, has entered her veteran gelding Mic’s Delight in the opening A Salon Called Fish-sponsored Members race. It could see him finish his career on a win, as he is due to retire soon. He will have the benefit of talented young jockey Millie Wonnacott aboard. Millie, who rides out at Neil Mulholland’s, has just ridden two winners at Exeter in the past ten days, Heany for her mother Claire, and Merchant House for trainer Les Jefford. They could come up against It’s A Steal for local trainer Lee Glanville with daughter Pippa on board. It’s A Steal has previously won two Chase’s under rules in Ireland and ran second in a Handicap Chase at Ludlow in January last season. He could go close at this his local track.

Neetside stands out in the Lycetts-sponsored Restricted Race, having taken her maiden at Cherrybrook with an eight-length win for trainer Jill Dennis. Cornflower Blue, for Exmoor trainer Patrick Picton-Warlow, is another to note with a mare’s weight allowance, and could progress from her seven-length win at Cothelstone in March.

The Totnes & Bridgetown Races Co sponsored four-mile Mixed Open race will be the feature races of the day. It has attracted some good entries to note such as five-time winner this season Navanman from the John Heard team, also the prolific winning mare Whenharrymetsally out of trainer Keith Cumings yard, who is on an impressive 15 career wins to date and could have the booking of regular jockey Matt Hampton. The two met here last season when Navanman won by a length, but will now have to defy top weight under regular jockey Bryan Carver.

In the Francis Clark-sponsored Open Maiden race for four, five and six year olds, Sylvies Dance for trainer/jockey Will Biddick could get him closer to reaching the all time record for rides, being just five off his target. The mare could improve on her six-length third to Ramillies at Bishops Court. The Dartmoor Rose is another looking progressive, having run second at this course last season for trainer Charlotte Rowe.

The Conditions race sponsored by Rodgers of Plymouth follows, in which AccordingTo Harry catches the eye, having run two-lengths second to Mountain Cliche at Cotley in March, under Darren Edwards for the Nicola Martin team. Art Of Synergy is another to note having run two-lengths back in third in the same race and could improve for that run for trainer Ed Walker for jockey Will Biddick.

Full Circle Motors sponsor the Confined race which has attracted ten entries. Wind Tor (Ed Walker) won at this track last season, she looks to like a cut in the ground, which she found when winning at Buckfastleigh and Bishops Court this season. Another of the Walker team recruits Kernal Victor is entered, and could be a likely favourite having taken the Conditions race at Cherrybrook by ten lengths last month. Beat The Tide is highest rated, and could re-kindle his old form having run a head second at Ston Eston in March under Ben Robarts.

Finally up is the Luscombe Maye-sponsored Open Maiden race, in which Sylvies Dance could run well if not entered in the earlier race for Will Biddick. The Dr Massini-sired Doctor Wong has shown some form when finishing second at Charlton Horethorne, and third at Monmouth both in March. Also Dancing Dave (Ed Walker) should be high in the betting having finished five-lengths second to Deshan last month, and could seal another winning ride for Will Biddick.
