There will be a host of trade-stands together with hot and cold refreshments including the popular local Surfing Cow Ice cream stand. Glynn Scaffolding sponsor the Open maiden race which heads up the main action. Minella Beag (Ed Walker) has the benefit of a mares weight allowance and also possible booking of Will Biddick to ride, who having broken the all time Pointing record, will now be looking to win the National gentlemen title. Thewinnertakeitall (Dean Summersby) has shown promise with place form and was an unlucky faller when close up at Cherrybrook.
Race 2 – Restricted Race

|8||p5175/-7u||ST DENYS (IRE)||34?||Michael Biddick|
|9||/15-p6u1||THE ROESTONE (IRE)||35+||Robert Chanin|
Worswell Weddings sponsor the Restricted race in which recent Little Windsor winner Could Be Better (Stuart Sampson) looks progressive, along with Dancing Dave (Ed Walker) dead heated at the last meeting here. Lure de Pres (Mike Vanstone) stayedon well to win by a neck at Badbury, whilst Goldbury (Tracey Parker) looked impressive when winning at Wadebridge and could bounce back from a poor run at Milborne St Andrew.
Race 3 – Ladies Open Race
|1||1*9-523p4||ALICE’S STAR||35?||Robert Chanin|
|2||231-11131||CHOSEN LUCKY (IRE)||42||Dean Summersby|

The Totnes & Bridgetown Racing Co-sponsored 4m Ladies Open looks to be the feature of the day being a qualifier for the Skinners Ladies Open Final at Stratford-on-Avon at the end of May. The eleven entries include Jack Snipe (Robert Hawker) a winner of four races under rules and already on a season treble with his latest win coming at Milborne St Andrew. Jack Snipe also holds an entry at Holnicote on Sunday, which could leave the door open for two veterans to note, Start Royal (Alan Hill) an impressive winner of 27 Points to date plus two Hunter Chase races. Another veteran to note is the Ladies winner here at the last meeting There’s No Panic for trainer Mike Biddick. Ella Orttewell took the Ladies Open race here at the Dartmoor meeting on There’s No Panic with a bold front running tactic, and could well repeat that form again here and give Ella her second win. It’s A Steal is another entry who could run well for local family the Glanville’s, with mother Lee training for daughter Pippa to ride and hopefully improve on their Members race win at this track two weeks ago. Chosen Lucky (Dean Summersby) could also turn up to join in the party and would be a worthy challenger having clocked up four wins this season.
Race 4 – Conditions Race
|1||5340/f-ppp||ANOLYSSE MORINIERE (FR)||24?||Janet Ackner|
|2||fpppf-pp1p||AULD SPORT (IRE)||32||Richard Morgan|

|7||5044-3611||PURPLE ‘N GOLD||42||Leslie Jefford|
|8||2-1112221||THE LAST BUT ONE (IRE)||43||Thomas Malone|
The Marchand Petit-sponsored Conditions race is for horses having won a race under rules, and this could see the Tom Malone owned and trained The Last But One turn up after his neck win at Stafford Cross last weekend. This race is only two miles and four furlongs which should suit the gelding, along with equal weights. Purple’N Gold is also entered for the Les Jefford team and should put up another game effort having won Opens at both Cotley and Trebudannon this season under jockey Millie Wonnacott.
Race 5 – Members Race
|1||2p5pp-7p5||AMBITIOUS PURSUIT (IRE)||35||Alice Mills|
|2||5/f4513-4||BAY TO GO (IRE)||37||Patricia Armstrong|

|5||p3-p337f6||SKYLANDER (IRE)||35||Sam Holdsworth|
|6||5-4472353||SYRACUSE’S DREAM (FR)||37||Deborah Treneer|
Millie Wonnacott has another chance here today with her family owned Heaney in the Brewin Dolphin-sponsored Members race. The combination stayed on well at Exeter last month winning the Hunter Chase.
Race 6 – Open Maiden for Four, Five and Six year olds Race
|1||3-pp4632||COTTAGE ROSE||32||John Heard|
|2||f243-fppp||EOLE D’UN REGARD (FR)||00?||Deborah Treneer|

|7||MISS TIGGY WINKLE||—||Hugh Thomas|
|8||-p5||TAKEABID (IRE)||16||Stuart Sampson|
|9||-s2||TANGO CHARLIE (IRE)||25||Robert Chanin|
In the Waycotts-sponsored Open Maiden race for four, five and six-year-olds, Cottage Rose (John Heard) could improve on her second here at the Dartmoor meeting. Also the two Robert Chanin entries Tango Charlie with his second at Milborne St Andrew, and I Prefer Diamonds having run into third also at the Milborne St Andrew track, could both be capable of improvement.
Race 7 – Confined Race
|1||4053-u843||BALLYCULLA (IRE)||35||Mike Vanstone|
|2||1434-1452||BALLYHOWNE (IRE)||39||Robert Chanin|

|12||32-515522||THE DAPPER FOX||40||Jack Veysey|
|13||p211-6112||WIND TOR||43||Ed Walker|
Finally up is the Dial A Shed-sponsored Confined race in which Kernel Victor holds an entry, having won at Upcott last weekend Kernel Victor (Ed Walker) gave Will Biddick his record breaking ride, and could again add to his season total. Skin Flint(Gerry Supple) also won last weekend, his win came at Stafford Cross when he came home the eight length winner of the Restricted race under Bryan Carver. Wind Tor is another entry out of the Ed Walker yard who could challenge and improve on her second here two weeks ago under Josh Newman.
