The opening Andrew Maddox-sponsored Restricted race could be a battle between recent winners Edabean and Florrie Webb if not competing at Cothelstone during the week and with Will Biddick on the sidelines having sustained an injury last weekend. Don’t Ask Us for the Keith Cumings team is one who could follow up on a recent  maiden win at Upcott Cross for Jockey Josh Newman. And Mustmeetforapint has been unlucky since winning his maiden at Wadebridge and could bounce back here to challenge.

In the 3-mile Mardons-sponsored Maiden race Benny’s Miracle for the Teresa Clark team ran third at Trebudannon and could be ready to improve, along with Not At All (Jason Warner) placed last season, Jimmy Tew’s third at Holnicote for the Janet Ackner team for Darren Edwards to ride, and Nouva Vita’s third at Flete Park for the Ed Walker team is another who could come on for the run.

The PJ Hobbs( Sandhill Racing)-sponsored Conditions race could be a battle between another Ed Walker-trained inmate Journey Juice who could follow up on his impressive victory at Flete Park when produced by Chloe Emsley for a two length victory. Rolling Dylan is proving to be a great schoolmaster for young jockey Tom Dixon and talented trainer Laura Parker when winning Members race at Holnicote. Phillip Hobbs still has an interest in Rolling Dylan who was impressive when running under rules winning over 56k in prize money.

The feature race looks to be the Brends Hotels-sponsored Mixed Open race which offers over £700 in prize money, entries include Board Of Trade for in form Devon trainer Ed Walker who impressively beat Southfield Theatre at Flete Park earlier this month under jockey Chloe Emsley. Eric The Third could go well again for trainer John Heard having won at Trebudannon, and outside raider Barney Dwan (Sally Randall) having won a Ladies Open at Cocklebarrow last season and had a good spin at Cheltenham a Hunter Chase finishing fourth last month and could prove dangerous.
