Fences have been moved to fresh ground. Going is Good, Good to Soft in places.  Will be maintained as good ground.

Friday 1st June at 16:00

All the fences have been moved to completely fresh ground as will the bends, light rain today so still good ground – John Heard

Thursday 31st May at 16.30

After steady overnight rain, the going is good, good to soft in places. All fences have been moved onto fresh ground, so the whole course is on fresh ground. We will water to maintain good ground if necessary

The re-arranged Eggesford meeting, which was postponed from April due to the wet weather, will take place next Wednesday evening June 6th at the course situated at Upcott Cross. Seven races are on offer with the first off at 5pm. 98 entries have been received.

On course facilities are hot food and refreshments, bar, bookies together with trade stands. Entrance to the course is £10 car and driver, £10 per passenger. Pedestrians £10. Children under 16 free. Dogs on leads welcome. Course is located 2 miles South of Halwill junction, off the A3079 – EX21 5AE

Upcott Cross Sat 9.00 pm . After applying water today ground was easier than Gd-Fm. Currently raining heavily. – Dave Willis.

The course inspector visited Fri afternoon & gave the ground as good to Firm, Watering continues to maintain safe ground & good chance of rain in the forecast.

Watering started yesterday(Tues) on drier parts of course. Possibility of rain Thurs/Fri will help keep ground good. – Dave Willis.

Going is currently Good, Good/Soft on top bend .Not raced on this year with excellent grass cover. With little or no rain forecast will water through next week to maintain safe ground. – Dave Willis  C-O-C South Tetcott.

This weekend’s fixture in the Devon & Cornwall area will be held at the Upcott Cross course where the South Tetcott will host their meeting on Bank Holiday Monday May 28th. Pony racing heads up the action at 12 noon with the main race card commencing at 1pm. 145 entries have been received for the six races on offer.

On course facilities include hot food and refreshments, bar, bookies and several trade stands. Entrance is £10 car and driver and £10 per passenger. Pedestrians are £10 with children under 16 free. The event is located at Upcott Cross, 2 miles South of Halwill junction off A3079 Postcode EX21 5AE.

Trebudannon fences and running rail have been moved ahead of Sunday’s second Four Burrow fixture

The Four Burrow are to hold their second meeting of the season at the popular Trebudannon course near Newquay on Sunday May 13. There are seven races on offer which have attracted over 70 entries. This is a popular course for maiden horses and we are bound to see some stars of the future emerge from having their debut runs here.
