The Stevenstone secretary Caroline Furse reports today, Thursday, that the going at Vauterhill is good/soft with soft patches but drying all the time .No more rain forecast at Vauterhill. Racing Monday May 7.

Bank Holiday Monday’s meeting is to be held at Vauterhill, High Bickington where there are seven races on offer with a start time of 2pm A total of 90 entries have been received.

Good to soft, soft in places at Flete Park , 1pm, Sat April 21st.

Last fence ready for final trim at Flete Park. As of Sunday 1.30pm soft, heavy in places following overnight rain.

Drying wind now and should be perfect by Saturday, given warm weather forecast as its old parkland turf. Hard work by the Dartmoor and Modbury helpers has ensured we are almost ready to go now.

Walking Flete Park this afternoon (Sunday) will post going and photos later… last week we had four glorious sunny days followed by rain overnight last night. – Lee Glanville

Fantastic drying day at Flete Park, third in a row. Looking forward to races on Saturday, April 21.

The beautiful parkland setting of Flete Park, near Ermington is the setting for this weekend’s meeting in the Devon & Cornwall area on Saturday 21st April. Seven races will be on offer with pony racing, which has been kindly sponsored by landowner Antony Mildmay-White, heading up the action at 1pm, followed by the main race card at 2pm. A total of 118 entries have been received.

After racing follows a charity Clydesdale race run in aid of Devon Air Ambulance which features local Farriers taking on a team of Veterinary Surgeons from South Moor Vets. It is always a joy to watch these huge horse specimens thundering down the home straight with the novice jockey’s on board raising funds for a worthy cause.

On course facilities include beer tent, plenty of hot food and refreshment stands, bookies and 17 trade stands varying from Fine Arts by Insitju, Farmers Friend for country wear to Sam Bradley & Wolfrock Boat stands, giving the course a real country show atmosphere. Entrance to the course is £10 per person to a max of £30 per car. Pedestrians £10 and Children under 16 free. Dogs only on leads welcome. The course is located at Flete Park, Ermington PL21 9NX.

The Clerk of the course has reported the going is Soft, Heavy in Places. Rain sporadic and forecast to stop later, leaving a dry night. Tomorrow forecast to be dry and sunny but windy, hopefully the ground will dry out. Please don’t park on the grass.

The Clerk of the Course at Wadebridge has just reported that the going is heavy, soft in places. But next week the weather forecast is better, with several dry days.

The Western Hunt will host the third meeting to be held this season at The Royal Cornwall Showground this coming Sunday February 4th. 52 Entries have been received for the six races on offer with a start time of 12 noon.

The course offers great winter facilities with a covered barn containing hot food, bar, bookies, trade stands and large TV screen. As well as close trackside view. Entrance is £10 per person Children under 16 are free. Dogs on leads welcome. Parking facilities are easy access along concrete avenues.

The course is located off A39 west of Wadebridge PL27 7JE

Bratton Down, beautifully located on the edge of Exmoor, is the setting for the Tiverton Staghounds meeting this Sunday (June 11th). This is the penultimate weekend of the point-to-point season.

Racing enthusiasts will be heading back to the stunning location of Bratton Down, Bratton Flemming next weekend where it’s the turn of The Exmooor Foxhounds to host their event on Sunday June 4th.

The second of two Point-to Point meetings to take place at the popular Upcott Cross course has attracted a massive 138 entries, where the South Tetcott Foxhounds host their meeting this coming Bank Holiday Monday 29th May.
